SocialVibe

Of course we are always looking for new ways to help people and raise funds for charities and foundations, and I have become apart of a social network that gets everyone involved, raises money with no expense to the participants. SocialVibe! It's really awesome!! It's kinda like MySpace or FaceBook except it's all about charities and helping charities. Well Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete's Foundation, The HollyRod Foundation that supports Parkinson's Patients, Underpriviledged Children/Schools and Families that have children with severe diseases and handicaps have signed up with SocialVibe. Click below and sign up for SocialVibe through HollyRod and HollyRod gets $1.

thanks!

Contribute to Change

Hey Guys!!!

Make a personal investment in change and your future. I created a personal fundraising page on my Barackobama.com page. However much you can give, will help! I look at it as an investment in my future and the future of the family I plan on starting and their future families. Barack Obama is the less selfish one outta ALL the candidates we have had. He is has a perspective on this country and the world that most of us do not have. He is a qualified and bonifide leader and this country needs him to lead us into a better economic, environmental, diplomatic track.

So click on the link below and contribute to change!

Take Two

Sometimes love comes back around a second time. If that happens, usually thats because the passion and love is so strong that you can iron out all the kinks and move on to pure love. But there are those times when love comes back to your door knocking and you shouldn't have answered. Why do you answer? Why not? People... MOST people change, evolve... GROW!!! That's if they are under the age of 35 years old. Trying to get a drastic change out of a man who is over 35 years old and set in his ways is like trying to draw blood from a rock! BUT... sometimes, sometimes a man can change over crazy circumstances. They usually don't have anything to do with the woman, but nonetheless a change occurs. It may not be specific to what you were looking for, but it helps. You can almost over look the other annoying habits and habitual mistakes and blunders. The change is usually significant enough to get their foot back in the door for a talk or dinner. If it's been years since you have communicated with one another... this change can get them a few dinners and conversations. The real test comes three months into this revisited/newfound love when you realized the asshole has not changed a bit and he is just as blind to his major issues as he was when you were together the first time.

So, why did I do the sequel? I always try to look for the good in people. Keep my distance from the bitter bug that lingers over every woman's head. I believe in love and love believes in me... really though, love?? How you gonna do me like that, love?? I thought we was cool??

It's sooo frustrating because all the things that bring you close to a person just aren't enough at the end of the day. The good is soooooo good and then the bad makes me wanna go out and kill him!! The good in him doesn't out weigh the bad... which doesn't make HIM bad... it makes him bad for me!! But then I look at my "perfect dude" list and I wonder if he really exists. How many of those things can I wait for? How many of those things do I really need?? Will I ever find someone with all those qualities or am I being naive and romantic? Did I just walk away from what was meant to be for the second time??

I want to believe that MY dude is out there waiting for me to walk into his life... I have to believe...

My beloved Democrats & Moderates

This is a plea for all of you apart of that 20% who will vote for John McCain if their Democratic Candidate does not win the DNC nomination...

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!?! Please do not vote outside of the party!! This is not about personal vendettas... there will be no lessons learned. Just another four years of war and debt!! We cannot have a man sitting at the helm who makes ignorant claims to want to stay in Iraq for another 100 years as long as there are no American Casualties and apologizes for voting against making a national day of recognition for one of our greatest leaders THREE TIMES because he just wasn't familiar with Dr. King!!

REALLY, JOHN MCCAIN?!?! Why didn't you ask your ancient mother who was here the day Moses parted the red seas who Dr. King was and meant to this divided nation?!?! How dare you stand in the place where the man died and apologize and claim ignorance of his accomplishments! You had over 30 years before the last King initiative to figure it out!

The republic party continues to pick leaders who lack the basic fundamentals to becoming leader of the free world... knowledge of policy making and maintaining and American history!! My eight year old niece could write a thesis paper on Dr. King and his accomplishments and have a basic compelling argument as to why we should celebrate him on national level... yet, the man running for President could not as he voted in Congress!!!

We have an amazing opportunity and responsibility as Democrats and Moderates and independents to take back our country and set things straight for our future generations. Please do not waste your votes, please really understand who you are voting for and why! This isn't about being angry because your candidate didn't win the nomination. This is about healthcare, the war, gas prices, and respect for our constitution and our national leaders (dead or alive)... a respect for our country and the hard working people who live in it!!

frankly speaking...

Is it possible to love without being intimate... without sharing a kiss? Yet your eyes meet with the tenderness of lovers and there are no words necessary but a small smile from time to time... to be near one another in silence and comfort is all that is needed. To share passions and space is amazing. I enjoy being near him. His silly texts make me smile. His wisdom comforts me. I love making him laugh. One single embrace gives me more than a thousand beds would have given me. to say I enjoy his company and conversation is an understatement... perhaps I love him... perhaps I loved him from that first moment when our eyes met on that busy street on that warm late night so many years ago. Looking at him through a child's eyes, loving him with a woman's heart. Every moment we share it seems like we have only gone moments without seeing one another... not weeks. Who knows where it will go... maybe it will be a life long friendship that will stay in it's unique space throughout time... whatever it is... it may never end...

A More Perfect Union

There is nothing to really say... just listen and be inspired. PS... I heard that Barack wrote this speech HIMSELF and worked on it for almost a week to perfect, making sure that everything was covered! ENJOY!!!

flood the nation with hope

Ferraro...we are all talking about Ferraro wondering when did we flash back into 1966. Her dangerous statements dripping with cyniscism and racism, splashed with a coat of arrogance have caused my stomach to turn. When did we begin to eat one another alive! We don't need the Republicans to destroy the party, we are doing it to ourselves. I am sick and tired of the Clinton campaign and everyone associated with it comparing Barack and this campaign to some kind of novelity. His record in the Senate was not a cheap parlor trick!! With every statement they insult those of us who vote for him based on his policies and his record and those senators who voted along side him on the Hill!! I'd like to thank Keith Olberman for bringing all of this to light!!! It isn't an endorsement, and I'm glad it isn't. I'm glad that an impartial person has finally spoken up and is putting it all out there for the American people! If you missed it, check it out!!
